The Children's Audio Theatre Just over a year ago it was brought to the Club's attention that there was little entertainment for visually handicapped children. The world of children's television was closed to them and there are no children's programs on radio. To remedy this situation the Club decided to sponsor the formation of the Children's Audio Theatre - a company of actors, technicians and a small administrative team. A year's production was planned and our Catalogue is the result. To our delight not only have our productions been well-received by the initial target audience but primary school teachers concerned to develop listening skills in sighted children, and parents anxious to provide their children with an alternative to television, have found our productions to be of great value. Equally to the point the children love them. To make the productions of even more value to teachers, the scripts of each play and suggestions for activities are available to be downloaded free of charge. We are a not-for-profit organisation. Therefore all profits from sales of the CDs wil be donated to varous children's charities.
